Fragonard was founded by entrepreneur Eugène Fuchs, who, captivated by perfume, established a perfumery to sell fragrances directly to visitors on the French Riviera. In 1926 the house took the name of Grasse-born painter Jean‑Honoré Fragonard and grew across France thanks to its natural fragrances, gentle cosmetics, and elegant packaging.
